Stage 1 – Preparation and Unboxing

Before beginning assembly, take time to carefully unpack and prepare all components.

STEP 1

Step 1 – Open the Packing Crate

Unscrew and remove the wooden packing case.
Carefully lift off the sides and top panels.
Set the crate panels aside safely.
STEP 2

Step 2 – Remove Components from the Bodyshell

Take all parts stored inside the P50 bodyshell.
Place them nearby for unwrapping.
Take photos of all parts as you unpack — useful for reference during the build.
STEP 3

Step 3 – Unwrap and Lay Out All Parts

Unwrap all components and boxes.
Lay everything out on the floor or a large clear area.
Check each item against the supplied parts list.
STEP 4

Step 4 – Prepare a Soft Working Surface

Choose a flat, sturdy working area such as a garage floor, strong flat board on heavy duty stands, or a solid table.
Lay down a soft protective material, for example: a carpet, soft thick sheet or removal blanket.
This helps protect the gelcoat finish while working on the bodyshell.
STEP 5

Step 5 – Position the Bodyshell

Carefully lay the Peel P50 bodyshell on its back onto the soft surface.
STEP 6

Step 6 – Secure the Bodyshell

Place a large weight at the rear of the bodyshell.
This prevents the shell from rocking forward when fitting components.
STEP 7

Step 7 – Safety Check

Ensure the bodyshell is stable.
Check it does not rock or tip forward.
Adjust or increase the counterweight if needed before continuing.
