Stage 3 – Front Suspension

Fitting the Front Suspension Mounts and Suspension Arms.

STEP 1

Step 1 – Fit the Front Suspension Mounting Brackets

Position the front and rear mounting brackets for the front suspension arms.
Insert the supplied bolts through the brackets and mounting points.
Fit serrated flange nuts loosely.
Leave the brackets slightly loose to allow up-and-down movement — this makes fitting the suspension arms easier in the next step.
STEP 2

Step 2 – Installing the Suspension Bushes

Place a bush on each side of the suspension arm housing.
Insert the supplied fine-thread bolt through the bushes with the large washers either side.
Tighten the bolt to draw the bushes into position.
Continue tightening until the bushes sit flush with the housing.
Loosen the nut and remove the bolt assembly from the suspension arm.
Repeat this process for all suspension bushes in the Front Arms and Swing Arm.
STEP 3

Step 3 – Fit the Front Suspension Arms

Position the suspension arms between the mounting brackets.
Move the mounting brackets up and down as needed to align with the arms.
Insert the pivot bolts through the brackets and arms.
You may need to raise or lower the suspension arm to allow the bolts to pass through fully.
Fit the nuts loosely at this stage.
STEP 4

Step 4 – Fit the Front Shock Mounts

Position the front shock mounting brackets in place on the underside of the bodyshell.
Insert the supplied bolts and fit serrated flange nuts loosely.
Leave the bracket slightly loose to allow movement for adjustment.
Repeat for opposite side.
STEP 5

Step 5 – Install the Front Shock Absorbers

Ensure the spacer bushes are fitted between the top mounting points.
Position the shock absorber between the mounts and the spacers.
Insert the mounting bolt and fit the nut loosely.
Mount the shock to the second hole down from the top of the bracket initially.
The brackets have multiple holes to allow ride height adjustment depending on occupant weight and vehicle loading.
Repeat this process for the opposite side.
STEP 6

Step 6 – Attach the Front Shocks to the Front Arms

Align the lower end of the shock absorber with the mounting hole on the front suspension arm near the king pin.
Insert the mounting bolt through the shock and suspension arm.
Fit the nut loosely at this stage.
